Lexington, Virginia ---- CornerStone Bank, N.A. is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank W. Friedman as Vice President, Financial Advisor. In his new role, Friedman will provide customers with a variety of services including: Retirement Planning (401-ks, IRAs); College Planning (529 plans and Educational IRAs); Life and Long Term Care insurance; and Asset Management (Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds, Fee based accounts and Annuities).
Frank is a native of Radford, Virginia. He was raised in Lexington, Virginia beginning in second grade and graduated from Lexington High School in 1984. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics from Hampden-Sydney College. While at the college, he was on the wrestling team, served as treasurer of the Student Government, was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and worked in the college’s Development Office. After graduating, he began his banking career in 1988 and held positions in Retail, Credit and Private Banking and Investment divisions of major financial institutions in Jacksonville, Florida and Richmond, Virginia before returning to Lexington in 1997 as a financial advisor. Most recently, Friedman served as a Financial Advisor for Essex Bank of Rockbridge. He holds a Series 7 license along with 6, 65, 24, life and annuities licenses. He has completed training in ethics, information security, and regulatory supervision.
In addition to his professional experience, Friedman has served as a member of the Lexington City Council, Lexington City School Board, the United Way, and Rockbridge Regional Tourism Board. He is currently a member of the Kendal Finance Committee, Stonewall Jackson Hospital Foundation and is actively supporting RARO programs. He and his wife, Debbie have three children and attend Lexington Presbyterian Church.
